The Renogy Solar Double Cable Entry Gland MTS-CE is a cable entry housing for bringing solar cables through a roof. It is made from UV-resistant ABS plastic and has two waterproof rated cable glands, so two cables pass through one housing.
It is made for RV, van and boat owners and anyone else running panel cables into a structure. Renogy says it is designed for virtually any aluminum framed solar panels and is compatible with all Renogy solar panels.

Dual Cable Entry
Two sealing cable glands sit on one housing. Each gland accepts cable with a diameter of 6mm to 12mm, so you can pass both solar cables through together.
UV-Resistant ABS Housing
The housing is UV-resistant ABS plastic, which Renogy describes as 100% recyclable. Renogy calls the cable entry glands waterproof rated.
Adhesive Mounting on a Flat Surface
You bond the housing to a flat surface with adhesive. Renogy recommends Sikaflex 252 or alike and says to clean the surface first and press the membrane down for firm contact.
Glands Tighten to Your Cable Length
Once the cable is at the length you want, turn each gland clockwise until the cable can no longer move through it.

Installation Notes
Renogy's manual says installation should be done by a professional contractor to avoid damage from improper sealing. It lists a caulking gun, masking tape, scotchbrite pads, a spirit level and a tape measure as helpful tools. Pass cables with MC4 ends through the housing before they go through the roof. Mark the spot, drill a small hole large enough to feed the wire, and smooth rough edges.
