The Rich Solar 300 Watt Solar Kit is a 12V solar charging kit built around three MEGA 100 monocrystalline panels and a BRAVO 40 40A MPPT charge controller. Rich Solar rates the kit at about 1.1kWh of energy per day with 4 peak sun hours, enough to keep an RV, trailer, boat or cabin battery bank charged through daily use.

Three smaller panels are easier to fit around roof vents, fans and racks than one or two large panels. The kit includes three sets of Z brackets, a 20 ft panel-to-controller cable pair, a 10 ft 8 AWG controller-to-battery cable pair and a 10A inline fuse. Add a 12V battery, and an inverter if you want AC power, to finish the system.

Three MEGA 100 Monocrystalline Panels

Each MEGA 100 is a 12V panel rated at 100W, with a guaranteed positive power output of 0 to +5W. Strong tempered glass, an aluminum frame and an IP67 rating help the panels handle tough climates, and they perform well in low light on cloudy days, mornings and evenings.

BRAVO 40 MPPT Charge Controller

The BRAVO 40 uses MPPT charging with conversion efficiency as high as 98%. It adapts automatically to 12V or 24V systems and accepts up to 100V of panel open-circuit voltage, which gives you flexibility when wiring the three panels.

Lead-Acid and Lithium Battery Presets

The controller has presets for gel, AGM, flooded, crystal and calcium lead-acid batteries, plus LiFePO4, LTO and LCO lithium batteries. It also stores charging data so you can review system performance.

Built-In Protection

The BRAVO 40 includes reverse discharge protection, overvoltage protection and extensive internal circuit protections. It uses a common negative connection, has a conformal-coated circuit board, and is designed according to UL1741 and EN/IEC 62109-1.

Room to Grow

The BRAVO 40 is rated for up to 600W of solar on a 12V system and 1,200W on a 24V system. That leaves room to double the array later with more compatible panels.

Yes. The BRAVO 40 has LiFePO4, LTO and LCO presets in addition to lead-acid types.

Can I Add More Panels Later?

Yes. The BRAVO 40 is rated for up to 600W of solar at 12V and 1,200W at 24V. Keep the array's open-circuit voltage under 100V and follow the controller manual.

How Should I Wire the Three Panels?
