The Rich Solar NOVA 12K PV Hybrid Inverter (RS-H12K) is a 48V split-phase hybrid inverter that supplies 10,000W of continuous pure sine wave power at 120/240V or 120/208V. It accepts up to 12,000W of solar through two MPPT inputs, charges and discharges the battery bank at up to 200A, and works with solar, batteries, the utility grid and a generator.

The NOVA 12K is built for whole-home backup, cabins, ADUs, tiny homes, agriculture and both off-grid and on-grid systems. It is certified to UL 1741SA/SB, CSA C22.2 No. 107.1 and IEEE 1547, is CEC listed, and meets California Rule 21 and HECO Rule 14H grid requirements. The IP65 enclosure includes integrated DC and AC breakers to simplify installation.

10,000W Split-Phase Output From One Unit

A single NOVA 12K delivers 10,000VA/10,000W of pure sine wave power at 120V phase to neutral and 208V or 240V phase to phase, with 41.7A per phase. That covers 240V loads such as well pumps, dryers and ranges without pairing two inverters. DC to AC efficiency is 91%.

12,000W of Solar Input

Two MPPT inputs rated 18A each, with 30A maximum, accept up to 12,000W of PV. The working voltage range is 120V to 550V DC, startup voltage is 125V DC, and maximum DC voltage is 600V DC, so you can run long, high-voltage strings.

Grid-Tie, Off-Grid and Hybrid Operation

Multiple operating modes support grid-tie, off-grid and hybrid systems. The AC input accepts utility or generator power from 85V to 140V AC per phase, at up to 60A and 10,000W.

200A Battery Charging and Discharging

The NOVA 12K works with a 48V battery bank and supports up to 200A of charging and 200A of discharging current. RS485 communication lets it work with the BMS of compatible lithium batteries.

Code-Focused Safety Features

Built-in protection includes arc fault detection (AFD, NEC 690.11), rapid shutdown (RSD, NEC 690.12), ground fault detection (NEC 690.5) and PV input lightning protection. Integrated 300A DC and 60A AC circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection inside the unit.

Outdoor-Rated and Expandable

The IP65 enclosure and -13°F to 140°F operating range allow indoor or sheltered outdoor installation. Up to six units connect in parallel, and built-in Wi-Fi lets you track system status in real time from the mobile app.
