The Sol-Ark Limitless 12K (UL listed as the 12K-2P-LL) is a 48V hybrid inverter for homes in North America. It can deliver 12kW to the grid or 10kW of continuous backup power from batteries at 120/240V, enough for loads such as mini-split air conditioners, well pumps, kitchen appliances, furnace blowers and lighting.
It accepts up to 19,200W of DC solar on three MPPT trackers, supports AC-coupled solar through its GEN port and passes up to 100A from the grid to your loads. Sol-Ark backs it with a 10-year limited warranty, 7-day USA technical support and USA firmware and data hosting.
On batteries, the inverter supplies 10,000W continuously at 120/240V (8,660W at 120/208V) with a 24,000W peak surge for 10 seconds. That surge capacity helps start motors in well pumps and air conditioners.
Three MPPT trackers with two strings each accept up to 19,200W of STC-rated solar, with a 150 to 425V operating range, a 500V maximum input and 32A per MPPT. Up to 12,000W of combined MPPT power is usable at once.
The 48V battery port is rated for 220A of charge and discharge current, with CANbus, RS485 and MODBUS RTU communication for lithium batteries. Lead-acid batteries are also supported with basic charge settings.
When the grid goes down, the inverter switches your backed-up loads to battery and solar power in 5 milliseconds.
The 60A bidirectional GEN port connects a fuel generator, AC-coupled solar (up to 14,000W at 240V) or a smart load such as an EV charger. Two-wire automatic generator start is built in.
Multi-season time-of-use, zero meter and self-consumption modes help you use more of your own solar. Grid sell, peak shaving and virtual power plant readiness let you take part in utility programs where available.
The IP65 / NEMA 3R enclosure operates from -40°F to 140°F (derating above 113°F). An integrated PV disconnect, arc fault detection, ground fault detection, rapid shutdown support and surge protection are built in.
Up to 12 units can run in parallel. Wi-Fi and LAN connect the inverter to the MySolArk mobile and web apps for monitoring.
Whole-home backup. Back up essential or whole-home loads, including mini-split air conditioners, well pumps and kitchen appliances.

Yes. Existing grid-tied solar can be AC coupled through the GEN port, up to 14,000W at 240V. AC coupling on the LOAD terminal is not supported.
A Wi-Fi / Ethernet dongle comes in the box and connects the inverter to the MySolArk apps. A 4G dongle is available separately.
Sol-Ark provides a 10-year limited warranty. The LCD screen and fans are covered for 5 years.
