The ACOPower 1 to 4 Solar Y Branch Connector pair joins four solar panels in parallel with plug-in connections. One branch has four female inputs and one male output, and the other has four male inputs and one female output. Together they combine the positive and negative leads of four panels into a single pair of leads that runs to your charge controller.

Wiring panels in parallel keeps the array voltage the same as a single panel while adding their currents together. That is the usual way to connect 12V panels to a PWM controller, or to build parallel strings for an MPPT controller.
