The ACOPower 20 ft 14 AWG Solar Extension Cable Puts Your Panel in the Sun and Your Gear in the Shade
The ACOPower 20 ft 14 AWG Solar Extension Cable adds 20 feet between a solar panel and your charge controller, power station or battery. Each end has solar panel connectors (two pairs in total), so it plugs into standard panel leads and controller cables with no tools.
ACOPower recommends the 14 AWG cable for smaller panels and systems such as 50W, 70W, 80W, 105W and 120W, where current is modest and the lighter cable is easy to coil and carry.
ACOPower 20 ft 14 AWG Solar Extension Cable Features
20 Feet of Reach
Set the panel in full sun while your battery, controller or power station stays in the shade or inside.
Plug-In Solar Connectors
Two pairs of solar panel connectors snap onto standard panel and controller leads.
Light 14 AWG Cable
Flexible and easy to coil for portable use with small and mid-size panels.
Real-World Applications
Camping. Move a portable panel away from the campsite shade.
Power stations. Extend a panel's reach to a power station indoors or in a tent.
Small fixed systems. Bridge the gap between a small panel and a controller.
How It Compares to Common Alternatives
Versus 12 AWG cable. 12 AWG has lower voltage drop for larger panels or longer runs. 14 AWG is lighter and fine for panels up to about 120W.
Is This Extension Cable the Right Fit
-
Panels. Small and mid-size panels, roughly 50W to 120W.
-
Connectors. Standard solar panel connectors.
This may be a good fit if
- You need to place your panel farther from your gear
- You use small or portable panels
