It combines a 1500 watt inverter, a 10 amp battery charger, and a built-in transfer switch. When grid power is available, it keeps your batteries charged. When the power fails, it switches to your battery bank to keep sump pumps, lights, and critical appliances running. AIMS Power designed it primarily for sump pump backup and home emergency power, making it a smart line of defense against basement flooding during storms.
The transfer switch automatically changes over when city power is lost. Transfer takes 3 to 10 seconds between losing AC input and providing AC output, which works well for sump pumps, lights, and similar loads, though it is not an uninterruptible supply for computers or other devices that cannot tolerate a short interruption.
While grid power is present, the integrated 10 amp charger maintains your batteries so they are ready when the next storm hits.
With 1500 watts of continuous output and a 3000 watt surge rating, it has the capacity for sump pumps and other essential household equipment.
