The AIMS Power 1500 Watt 12 Volt Pure Sine Inverter Charger Combines Heavy-Duty Inverter Power, a 50 Amp Charger, and Automatic Transfer

The AIMS Power 1500 Watt 12 Volt Pure Sine Inverter Charger is a low frequency, UL 458 listed power center that brings together a pure sine inverter, a 50 amp multi-stage battery charger, and an automatic transfer switch. It is built for small industrial applications that depend on power under heavy load, and it is equally suited to renewable solar systems, off-grid homes, business backup, mobile power, smaller RVs, and boats. It charges your batteries from any 120 volt AC source, including a gas or diesel generator, shore power at an RV park or truck stop, or an extension cord plugged into a wall outlet.

AIMS Power 1500 Watt 12 Volt Pure Sine Inverter Charger Features

4500 Watt Surge for 20 Seconds to Start Tough Loads

The low frequency design delivers three times its 1500 watt continuous rating for up to 20 seconds, giving pumps, compressors, and motors the extra power they need at startup.

50 Amp Smart Charger for Lead and Lithium Batteries

The multi-stage charger supports gel, AGM, lead-acid, and lithium LiFePO4 batteries with seven battery type settings, so you can match the charge profile to your bank.

Automatic Transfer and Auto Generator Start

The built-in transfer switch moves loads to battery power with a typical transfer time of 10 milliseconds. Auto gen start can bring a generator online when needed, and battery priority mode lets you run directly from your battery bank instead of another AC source.

GFCI Outlet and AC Direct Connect Terminal Block

A 20 amp dual-plug GFCI outlet with reset button handles plug-in loads, and the AC direct connect terminal block supports a three-wire hardwired connection. A 20 amp bypass terminal breaker protects pass-through power.

Power Saver Mode and Worldwide Auto Frequency

Power saver mode pulses every 30 seconds to look for a load of 25 watts or more and otherwise sleeps, reducing idle consumption from 13.5 watts to 8 watts. Auto frequency detection lets it work in any country that uses 120 volt AC.

Marine Coated and Remote Ready

Marine coating protects the electronics, and an optional wired remote lets you operate the unit from a vehicle cab or another room.

Real-World Applications

Renewable solar and off-grid homes. Serve as the heart of a 12 volt solar system with charging and backup built in.

Home and business backup. Power essential appliances automatically during outages.

Smaller RVs and boats. Charge from shore power or a generator and switch to battery seamlessly.

Mobile and emergency power. AIMS Power lists mobile and emergency backup among its applications anywhere 110 or 120 volt AC is used.

How It Compares to Common Alternatives

Versus high frequency inverter chargers. High frequency units weigh less but typically offer far less surge. This low frequency design is built for inductive loads.

Versus separate inverter, charger, and transfer switch. One integrated, UL listed unit simplifies installation and wiring.

Versus larger models. AIMS Power offers low frequency inverter chargers in 12, 24, and 48 volt versions if you need more than 1500 watts.

Is This Inverter Charger the Right Fit

  • Weight. At 38 pounds, plan for sturdy mounting.
  • Low voltage cutoff. Shutdown is selectable at 10 or 10.5 volts so your batteries are never fully drained.
  • Battery bank. Pair with a 12 volt bank sized for your loads and runtime.
  • Installation. Use appropriately sized DC cables and fusing.

This may be a good fit if

  • You want automatic backup with clean pure sine power
  • You need strong surge for pumps or compressors
  • You use or plan lithium batteries
  • You want a UL 458 listed inverter charger for an RV, boat, or home
