The AIMS Power 1500 Watt 12 Volt Pure Sine Inverter Charger is a low frequency inverter charger with a built-in battery charger and transfer switch, designed for small industrial applications that depend on power being available even under heavy load. It delivers 1500 watts continuous and a 4500 watt surge for 20 seconds, with a 50 amp multi-stage smart charger that accepts any 120 volt AC source. It is also a strong fit for a smaller RV or boat, and for renewable solar, off-grid home and business backup, mobile and emergency backup power applications anywhere that uses 110 or 120 volts AC.
Low frequency construction gives this inverter 3x surge capability, delivering 4500 watts for 20 seconds and 1500 watts continuously, so it can handle the startup demands of motors and compressors.
The multi-stage smart charger delivers up to 50 amps and charges gel, AGM, lead and lithium LiFePO4 batteries, with 7 battery type settings. It accepts any source of 120 volt AC power, including a gas or diesel generator, shore power at an RV park or truck stop, or an extension cord plugged into your wall outlet at home.
A dual-plug 15 amp GFCI outlet with a reset button works with Type A plugs, and a direct 3-wire terminal connection supports hardwired installations.
The automatic transfer switch moves loads to battery power with a typical transfer time of 10 milliseconds. Battery priority mode lets you run directly from your battery backup system instead of a generator or other AC source.
Low voltage shutdown at 10 or 10.5 volts, depending on your selection, keeps the inverter from completely draining your batteries. In power saver mode, the inverter pulses every 30 seconds looking for a load of 25 watts or more before it turns on, otherwise sleeping at around half an amp. Idle consumption drops from 13.5 watts to 8 watts.
Auto frequency detection supports 50 or 60 Hz, so the inverter works in countries that use 120 volt power. Marine coating protects the electronics, and an optional wired remote lets you operate the unit from a vehicle cab or another location in the home or campsite.
