The AIMS Power 6000 Watt 24 Volt Pure Sine Inverter Charger With Single Phase 120VAC Output is a low frequency inverter charger built for large industrial applications that depend on power being available even under heavy load. It combines a 6000 watt pure sine inverter, a 60 amp four-stage smart charger and an 80 amp automatic transfer switch in one unit, and it is listed to UL 458, 1741 and 1012 and CSA 22.2 No 107.1 and 107.2. Use it for renewable solar, off-grid, business backup, mobile and emergency backup power anywhere that uses 100, 110 or 120 volts AC. With an 18,000 watt surge for 20 seconds, it has the reserve to start demanding motor loads.
Low frequency construction provides 300% surge capability, delivering 18,000 watts for 20 seconds and 6000 watts continuously. That reserve helps start pumps, compressors and other motor loads. An 80 amp output breaker protects the 120 volt output.

The built-in charger accepts any source of 120 volt AC power, including a gas or diesel generator, shore power at an RV park or truck stop, or an extension cord plugged into a wall outlet at home. It charges gel, lead, AGM and lithium batteries, with 7 battery type settings and adjustable charge current from off to 15% to 100%.
An 80 amp automatic transfer switch moves your loads between AC input and inverter power with a typical transfer time of 10 milliseconds, so critical equipment keeps running when the AC source drops.
Battery priority lets you set the inverter to run directly from your battery backup system instead of a generator or other AC source, a useful option for solar systems that should use stored energy first.
AIMS Power notes this model allows startup and pass-through power with depleted batteries, which helps when AC power returns after a long outage.
In power save mode, the inverter pulses every 30 seconds looking for a load of 25 watts or more before it turns on. Otherwise it sleeps, drawing right around half an amp, and idle consumption drops from 52.5 watts to under 25 watts. Low voltage shutdown at 20 or 21 volts, depending on your selection, keeps the inverter from completely draining your batteries.
Marine coating protects the electronics. Auto frequency detection allows operation at 50 or 60 Hz. An optional wired LED or LCD remote lets you operate the unit from a vehicle cab or another location in the home or campsite.
Commercial and industrial backup. Keep large 120 volt loads running through outages with listed equipment and an 80 amp transfer switch.
Off-grid and solar homes. Pair it with a 24 volt battery bank and solar charge controller, using battery priority to draw on solar energy first.

Versus the split phase UL version. AIMS Power also offers this 6000 watt 24 volt listed model with 120/240 volt split phase output and an 80 amp charger. Choose this single phase version when all of your loads are 120 volt and your charging source is 120 volt.
Versus the 4000 watt UL model. The 4000 watt 24 volt single phase listed model offers a 45 amp charger and 50 amp transfer switch. This 6000 watt model steps up to a 60 amp charger and 80 amp transfer switch.
Versus high frequency inverters. Low frequency inverters are heavier, but they handle surge from inductive loads far better.
