The AIMS Power 30KW 300V 208 VAC Three Phase Off-Grid Pure Sine Inverter Charger is part of the AIMS Power extra large inverter charger line, built for businesses, large homes, farms and other applications that need large amounts of backup power. It converts a 300 volt DC source into 30,000 watts of 208 volt three phase pure sine power. A wide 200 to 600 volt DC input range lets you build your own DC source from solar, wind, hydro or deep cycle batteries, and the higher DC input voltage allows more efficient operation. A modular, simple design provides convenient access for maintenance, and an LCD display monitors the system. It is UL listed and backed by a 3 year warranty with lifetime tech support.
The inverter delivers 30 kW of pure sine output at 208 volts AC, plus or minus 3%, in a three phase L1 + L2 + L3 + N + earth configuration with 83.3 amps of phase current. AIMS Power notes output voltage can be customized to 110, 120, 220, 230, 240, 280, 400, 415 or 440 volts.
The 300 volt nominal DC input accepts 200 to 600 volts DC at a rated current of 100 amps. AIMS Power notes the inverter is ideal for DC EMerge 380 volt DC systems.
Inverter efficiency is greater than 94% with a power factor above 0.95. AIMS Power states the IPM provides high efficiency and stable performance that prolongs the overall life of the inverter. Low frequency design helps prevent RF interference.
The LCD display monitors DC input, output frequency, phase voltage, phase current, AC bypass input voltage, output power in kWh, time and date, temperature and fault codes. RS485 remote monitoring is available as an option.
Output voltage is adjustable from -40% to +20% of rated voltage, and DC input voltage, over voltage, under voltage and recovery time can all be set from the LCD panel. Step-down voltage and variable frequency start up modes are available, and output frequency is adjustable between 50 and 60 Hz.
An AC bypass input function accepts 120/208 volt AC input.
Protections include overload capacity of 150% for 5 seconds and 120% for 35 seconds, input reverse polarity, under voltage, over voltage, output over current, short circuit and over temperature. After a short circuit, the unit does not recover automatically and must be restarted.
Business backup power. Supply three phase 208 volt power to commercial loads during outages.
Farms. Provide large-scale off-grid or backup power for agricultural operations.
Large homes. Power a large residence from a high voltage battery or renewable source.
Renewable energy systems. Pair with solar, wind or hydro and a high voltage battery bank.
Versus low voltage inverter chargers. Standard 12, 24 and 48 volt models top out well below 30 kW. This unit's 300 volt DC input supports much larger loads more efficiently.
Versus larger AIMS Power units. AIMS Power offers extra large inverter chargers from 30 kW up to 200 kW in 240 volt split phase or 208 volt three phase. This 30 kW model is the entry point to that line.
Versus diesel generators. An inverter running from batteries and renewables operates quietly, under 50 dB, without fuel deliveries.
