The BLUETTI AC50P is a 504Wh (22.5Ah) LiFePO4 portable power station with a 700W pure sine wave inverter at 120V. It has two AC outlets, two 65W USB-C ports, a 15W USB-A port, a 12V/10A car outlet and a 15W wireless charging pad. It weighs about 15.21 lbs (6.9 kg) and measures 11 x 7.9 x 8.7 in.
It's sized for camping, RV trips and short outages at home, with power for car fridges, fans, laptops and other essentials. Charge it from a wall outlet, solar panels, a car or a generator. In Turbo mode it reaches 80% in 50 minutes from the wall, and the car and solar charging cables come in the box.
The inverter delivers 700W at 120V, 5.8A and 50/60Hz across the two AC outlets, for appliances up to 700W. Power Lifting mode, off by default, runs resistive loads rated 700W to 1,200W, such as electric blankets, kettles and hair dryers. BLUETTI notes that the actual operating power stays at 700W.
There are three AC charging modes. Standard charges at 310W in about 2 hours and is easier on the battery. Turbo charges at 600W and reaches 80% in 50 minutes and 100% in 80 minutes at 77°F (25°C). Silent charges at 190W in about 3 hours for quiet, low-power operation. Choose a mode in the BLUETTI app, or turn Turbo on from the unit's Setting Mode.
The XT60 DC input takes 12V to 28V solar at up to 8.5A and 200W, with panels wired in series or parallel. With a steady 200W of solar, BLUETTI says the AC50P finishes charging within about 3 hours, though weather, sunlight and panel angle affect the time. In Turbo mode, AC and solar together reach 600W.
With the included car charging cable, the AC50P charges from a 12V socket in about 5 to 7 hours or a 24V socket in about 3 to 4 hours, with the engine running. From a generator with stable pure sine wave output, a full charge takes about 1.2 hours. If your devices draw more than the generator can supply, turn on Grid Self-adaption Mode in the app.
The AC50P supports pass-through charging. Plugged into the wall, it switches to battery within 20 ms during an outage. BLUETTI says not to use it with devices that need a high-performance UPS, such as data servers, workstations and medical equipment.
BLUETTI rates the LiFePO4 battery for 3,000+ life cycles. The BLUETOPUS AI-BMS manages charging and discharging, and it adjusts charging power based on battery temperature and state of charge to protect the battery. The AC50P discharges from -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to 40°C).
The BLUETTI app connects over Bluetooth to show real-time power use and battery level, adjust charging settings and update firmware. ECO mode is on by default and turns off the AC output below 10W or the DC output below 5W after a while. You can change those thresholds in the app, and you should turn ECO off for small devices.
Camping. BLUETTI estimates about 3.2 hours for a 110W portable fridge and about 6 charges for a 40Wh drone battery.
Home outages. BLUETTI estimates about 22 hours for a 10W WiFi router, and its manual estimates about 7.9 hours for a 40W refrigerator.
Work on the go. BLUETTI estimates about 4 charges for a 70Wh laptop and about 5 hours for a 60W TV.
Comfort at camp. BLUETTI estimates about 2.7 hours for a 150W electric blanket and about 3.7 hours for a 90W fan.
Turbo gets you to 80% in 50 minutes and full in 80 minutes when time matters. Standard takes about 2 hours at 310W, and BLUETTI describes it as more friendly to the battery. Silent takes about 3 hours when you want a quieter charge.
The AC50P has no engine, so there's no fuel to store, and BLUETTI rates its noise at 45dB. It recharges from the wall, the sun or your car. A generator is the type to look at when you need more than 700W or more than 504Wh between recharges.
Keep your total constant load at or under 700W. BLUETTI notes that devices with motors or compressors may start at 2 to 4 times their rated power, which can overload the AC50P. BLUETTI estimates runtime as 504Wh x 90% depth of discharge x 85% inverter efficiency, divided by your load plus about 9W of self-consumption.
Use solar panels with an open-circuit voltage of 12V to 28V and MC4 connectors, and don't mix different types of panels. BLUETTI warns against panels with an open-circuit voltage above 28V. The AC output is for off-grid use only, so never connect it to the grid.
Yes. The AC50P supports pass-through charging, so you can run devices while it charges.
Yes, as long as the open-circuit voltage is 12V to 28V and the panels have MC4 connectors.
The built-in BMS adjusts charging power based on battery temperature and state of charge to protect the battery and extend its life.
BLUETTI lists a 5-year warranty for the AC50P.
The BLUETTI AC50P Portable Power Station combines 504Wh of LiFePO4 storage, 700W of pure sine wave output, 1,200W Power Lifting and a 50-minute charge to 80% in a case of about 15 lbs. If you'd like help sizing your loads or choosing a solar panel, the Outbound Power team is happy to help.
