The BougeRV CRPRO30 VIP Upgraded 30 Quart Portable Refrigerator is a version of BougeRV's CRPRO30 compressor fridge built with 6 VIP boards for thermal insulation. It holds 30 quarts (29 liters, 1.02 cu. ft.), sets anywhere from -8°F to 50°F and runs on 12V or 24V DC or 110-240V AC. The charcoal body carries a gray band marked VIP TECH.
It suits overlanders, van and RV travelers and anyone who runs a fridge from a battery for long stretches. BougeRV says the VIP boards help hold the temperature inside, which reduces how long the compressor needs to run.
The fridge is built with six VIP boards for thermal insulation. By holding the cold in, they shorten the compressor's working time, and BougeRV puts this fridge's energy use at 168 kWh per year.
BougeRV rates ECO mode at 36W for energy saving and MAX mode at 45W for faster cooling. In MAX mode with an empty cabinet, it cools from 77°F to 32°F in 15 minutes and from 77°F to -4°F in 50 minutes.
An LED light inside the cabinet helps you see what you're grabbing at night, so you don't need to hunt for a flashlight at camp.
Four holes on the sides of the fridge let you fasten it with rope in a car, a truck or on a seat or other slippery surface, so it stays in place while you drive.
The battery monitor turns the fridge off when your vehicle battery's voltage runs low. On 12V, High cuts out at 11.3V and Medium at 10.1V. On 24V, High, Medium and Low cut out at 24.6V, 22.3V and 21.3V. The fridge restarts two minutes after the voltage recovers.
A removable divider splits the 13.8 x 9.8 x 13.0 in cabinet into two sections. A separate compartment with its own latched lid sits beside the control panel for small items you don't want in the cold.
