Faraday Defense JACKET Forensic Faraday Bag | 3 Sizes

The Faraday Defense JACKET Forensic Faraday Bag Isolates Phones, Tablets and Laptops Behind a Double-Fold Velcro Seal

The Faraday Defense JACKET Forensic Faraday Bag is a non-window signal blocking bag with a durable nylon canvas exterior and a triple-layer lining of metal-plated CYBER NC (nickel/copper) fabric. Faraday Defense rates it at more than 85 dB of attenuation from 400 MHz to 40 GHz. It comes in three sizes: the 8 x 4.5 in JACKET for cell phones, the 7.5 x 10 in JACKET XL for tablets and the 14 x 16 in JACKET XXL for laptops.

Faraday says the JACKET is a favorite with law enforcement for evidence security and with everyday buyers for personal privacy. It's designed for police departments, forensic investigators, military users, government and executive travel, and anyone who wants a device cut off from cell, GPS, RFID, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals.

JACKET Forensic Faraday Bag Features

More Than 85 dB of Attenuation

Faraday Defense rates the JACKET at more than 85 dB from 400 MHz to 40 GHz. It blocks Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cell signals including 5G networks, GPS and RFID, and it works in both directions, so signals can't reach the device and the device can't send out.

Keeps Evidence Intact

Faraday describes the bag as maintaining a device's integrity and preventing remote influences from accessing its content. Sealing a collected phone or laptop inside keeps it off the network until it can be examined.

Double-Fold Velcro Seal

Slide the device in, fold the top over twice and press the Velcro closed. Faraday says the double fold enhances blocking, and the Velcro opens quickly when you need the device again.

Nylon Canvas Over Triple-Layer CYBER Fabric

The outside is durable nylon canvas with precision stitching and bound edges. Inside, three layers of metal-plated CYBER NC fabric containing nickel and copper do the shielding.

Non-Window Design With Back Pockets

There's no window, so the device stays fully enclosed and out of sight. The back of the bag has two clear slip pockets and a JACKET by Faraday Defense patch.

Real-World Applications

Evidence handling. Police and forensic investigators can bag a phone, tablet or laptop at the scene so it can't be reached remotely on the way to the lab.

Personal privacy. Keep your phone in the bag when you don't want it tracked by GPS or reachable over cell and Wi-Fi.

Travel and key fobs. Carry a tablet or laptop in the XL or XXL on a trip, or keep key fobs and credit cards in the phone size to block their signals.

Practical Comparison

JACKET Versus an Unlined Fabric Pouch

A regular pouch protects a device from scratches but lets every signal through. The JACKET adds a triple-layer metal-plated lining rated by Faraday at more than 85 dB and a double-fold Velcro seal.

JACKET Versus JACKET XL Versus JACKET XXL

All three share the same lining, canvas exterior and closure. The JACKET (8 x 4.5 in) is sized for cell phones, the JACKET XL (7.5 x 10 in) adds room for tablets and external hard drives, and the JACKET XXL (14 x 16 in) takes laptops, tablets, drives and HAM radios.

Buyer Guidance

Choosing a Size

Faraday sizes the JACKET to fit all major cell phone makes and models. The JACKET XL fits phones plus most current external hard drives and tablets, and the JACKET XXL is designed for HAM radios, laptops, external hard drives and tablets. Leave room at the top of the bag for the double fold.

Testing the Seal

Put a phone in the bag, fold the top over twice and press the Velcro closed, then call the phone. If the call doesn't connect, the bag is sealed.

This May Be A Good Fit If

• You collect phones or laptops as evidence
• You want a simple bag with no window
• You need phone, tablet or laptop sizes
• You want to stop GPS tracking when you choose
