The Renogy 200W 12V Solar RV Kit with 40-Amp MPPT Charger Controller combines one large 200W monocrystalline panel with a 40A MPPT charge controller. A single 200W panel means fewer roof penetrations and connections than two 100W panels, and the MPPT controller harvests more of the panel's energy than a PWM controller, especially in cool weather and changing light.
Renogy rates the panel at about 1,000 watt-hours per day with 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight, enough to keep RV house batteries charged while you run lights, fans, a water pump, a 12V fridge and device chargers. The 40A controller also leaves plenty of room to add more panels later.
PERC technology improves light capture and 9 busbars improve conductivity for a 19.2% module efficiency.
Half-cut cells and bypass diodes help the panel keep producing under accidental shading and protect it from hot spots.
A 3.2 mm tempered glass front, anodized aluminum frame and IP65 junction box stand up to years of travel and weather.
Maximum power point tracking converts the panel's higher operating voltage into extra charging current, typically harvesting more energy than PWM controllers. The 40A rating supports future expansion.
Pre-drilled holes on the panel frame work with Renogy Z brackets, pole mounts and tilt mounts, and the panel connects with standard solar connectors.
Renogy backs the panel with a 10-year workmanship warranty and a 25-year 80% power output warranty.
RVs and fifth wheels. Keep house batteries charged while boondocking or in storage.
Camper vans and trucks. Power a fridge, lights and devices on longer trips.
Cabins and sheds. Charge a 12V battery bank for lighting and small appliances.
Boats. Maintain house and starting batteries.
Versus PWM kits. PWM kits cost less but waste some of the panel's voltage. MPPT is more efficient and supports larger arrays.
Versus two 100W panels. Two panels can fit around roof obstacles, while one 200W panel needs fewer mounts and connections.
Versus generators. Solar charges silently with no fuel or maintenance.
This may be a good fit if
About 1,000Wh per day with 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight, depending on location and season.
MPPT controllers convert excess panel voltage into additional charging current, often harvesting noticeably more energy than PWM controllers.
Yes. The 40A controller leaves room to add panels, as long as you stay within its voltage and power limits.
Half-cut cells and bypass diodes help it keep producing under accidental shading from vents or branches, but for best results mount it where it gets full sun most of the day.
The Renogy 200W 12V Solar RV Kit brings a high-output panel and an MPPT controller together for efficient, expandable RV charging. At Outbound Power, we help customers choose cables, batteries and mounts to complete their systems. If you have questions, our team is happy to help.
