The Renogy 320W N-Type Monocrystalline Solar Panel Packs High Output Into a Smaller, Lighter Frame

The Renogy 320W N-Type Monocrystalline Solar Panel is a high-efficiency rigid panel for home, cabin, RV and off-grid arrays. N-type cells with 18 busbars reach up to 25% cell efficiency and 22.2% module efficiency, so each 64.6 x 34.7 inch panel produces 320 watts. Renogy says the design is 13.5% smaller and 17.2% lighter than comparable panels, at 32.9 lbs.

N-type cells hold their output better in hot weather than conventional cells, and an IP68-rated junction box, tempered glass and aluminum frame stand up to snow, rain and heat. Each panel is backed by a 10-year product warranty and a 25-year power output warranty. This listing is sold as a 2-pack or 4-pack.

Renogy 320W N-Type Solar Panel Features

N-Type Cells With 18 Busbars

N-type technology and 18 busbars per cell improve current collection and efficiency, reaching up to 25% cell efficiency.

Smaller and Lighter

At 64.6 x 34.7 x 1.4 inches and 32.9 lbs, the panel fits more power onto RV roofs, sheds and ground mounts where space and weight matter.

Better Heat Performance

N-type cells lose less power as temperatures rise, keeping output steady during hot summer afternoons.

IP68 Weather Protection

The IP68 junction box and durable construction handle snow, rain and heat for decades of outdoor use.

High-Voltage Ready

A 1,000VDC maximum system voltage allows long series strings for MPPT charge controllers and hybrid inverters.

Long Warranty

Renogy backs the panel with a 10-year product warranty and a 25-year power output warranty.

Real-World Applications

Home backup. Add panels to a residential battery system to keep lights, refrigerators and devices running during outages.

RVs. Mount on larger RV roofs for strong charging while boondocking.

Off-grid cabins and tiny homes. Build an efficient array for daily power needs.

Mobile businesses. Power food trucks, mobile workshops and remote offices.

How It Compares to Common Alternatives

Versus 100W and 200W panels. Smaller panels are easier to fit on small roofs but need more wiring and mounting hardware for the same total power. The 320W panel reduces part count in larger arrays.

Versus PERC panels. Conventional PERC panels cost a bit less, but N-type cells produce more in the heat and degrade more slowly.

Versus large residential panels. 400W to 600W panels have lower cost per watt but are larger and heavier. The 320W size is easier to handle and fits more mounting locations.

Is This Panel the Right Fit

  • Charge controller. With a 37.85V operating voltage and 43.82V open circuit voltage, the panel needs an MPPT controller. It is well suited to 24V battery systems.
  • Series strings. Add up open circuit voltages and keep the total within your controller's or inverter's maximum input, allowing extra margin for cold weather.
  • Mounting. Plan for a 64.6 x 34.7 inch footprint per panel and a rack rated for the weight and local wind and snow loads.

This may be a good fit if

  • You are building a mid-size to large solar array
  • You want high efficiency in a manageable panel size
  • Your system sees hot summer temperatures
  • You use an MPPT controller or hybrid inverter

Common Questions

What Else Do I Need for an Off-Grid System?

A charge controller, a battery bank, adapter cables from the panels to the controller and battery cables from the controller to the batteries.

What Does 24V Mean on a Panel Like This?

It refers to the battery system voltage the panel suits, not its actual output voltage. One panel can charge a 24V battery through an MPPT controller.

Why Is My Panel Producing Less Than 320W?

Indirect sunlight, heat, clouds, shading and dirt all reduce output. Keep panels clean and free of shade.
