The Renogy MRBF Terminal Fuse Adds Compact High-Amp Circuit Protection Right at Your Battery Terminal

The Renogy MRBF Terminal Fuse is a compact fuse that protects DC circuits at the positive battery terminal. It comes in 11 current ratings from 30A to 400A and is rated for 58V.

It is for solar, RV, marine and off-grid builders who want circuit protection without a separate inline fuse holder. Renogy says it attaches directly to the positive terminal's copper plate.

Renogy MRBF Terminal Fuse Features

Fits Directly on the Terminal

Renogy says the fuse attaches directly to the positive terminal's copper plate for circuit protection, with no external connections needed. It has a 5/16 in (M8) mounting hole, and an M8 terminal bolt is included.

11 Current Ratings

Choose 30A, 40A, 60A, 75A, 100A, 150A, 200A, 250A, 300A, 350A or 400A to match your circuit. The rating is printed on the fuse body along with the 58V rating.

High Interrupt Ratings

Renogy lists interrupt ratings of 10,000A at 14VDC, 5,000A at 32VDC and 2,000A at 58VDC.

Ceramic Body and PES Cover

The insulating body is ceramic and the cover is PES. Renogy lists RoHS, UL and CE certifications.

Real-World Applications

Battery terminals. Fuse the positive terminal of a battery in a DC system.

Renogy 500A Combiner Box. Renogy says the fuse simplifies wiring with its 500A Combiner Box, and the included M8 bolt helps you install it there.

Practical Comparison

Terminal Fuse Versus Inline Fuse

An inline fuse needs its own holder and cable connections. Renogy says this terminal fuse attaches directly to the terminal's copper plate, so no external connection is needed.

Buyer Guidance

Choose the Right Rating

Pick the current rating that fits your circuit and cable, and make sure the system voltage is within 58V. If you are not sure which rating to use, ask the Outbound Power team.

Holder or Combiner Box Required

Renogy says that if the fuse is not used with a combiner box, a terminal fuse holder is required.

This May Be A Good Fit If

  • You want a fuse mounted at the battery terminal
  • Your system runs at or below 58V DC
  • You plan to use a Renogy Combiner Box or a terminal fuse holder

Common Questions

What Is the Screw in the Package For?

Renogy says the screw helps when installing the MRBF fuse on its Combiner Box.

Do I Need a Fuse Holder?

Yes, unless you use it with a combiner box. Renogy says a terminal fuse holder is required otherwise.

What Warranty Does It Have?

Renogy lists a 1-year material and workmanship warranty.

What's Included
