Pair of Renogy M branch parallel adapter cables for solar panels, each splitting into three connector ends

The Renogy Solar Connectors M Branch Parallel Adapter Cable MMMF+FFFM Pair Joins Three Solar Panels in Parallel Through One Connection

The Renogy Solar Connectors M Branch Parallel Adapter Cable MMMF+FFFM Pair is a set of two branch cables for wiring solar panels in parallel. Renogy says you can use it to connect 3 solar panels in parallel. It is a CE-certified solar M connector rated 30A and 1500V DC.

It is made for anyone adding a third panel to a parallel array who wants to merge the panel leads into one run. It is compatible with standard solar connectors and fits 14AWG to 10AWG cable.

Renogy Solar Connectors M Branch Parallel Adapter Cable MMMF+FFFM Pair Features

Three Panels in Parallel

Each cable splits one connection into three branches. Renogy's photos show the pair as one cable with male branch ends and one with female branch ends, which is what the MMMF and FFFM in the name describe.

30A and 1500V DC Rating

Renogy rates the connector at 30A and 1500V DC (IEC). Contact resistance is 0.5mΩ. The contacts are tin-plated copper and the insulation is PC.

IP67 When Mated

Renogy lists the protection degree as IP67 mated and IP2X unmated. Renogy also describes the connector as anti-oxidation, anti-UV and resistant to high temperature, with an operating range of -40°F to 194°F (-40°C to 90°C).

Built-In Lock for a Secure Fit

Assembly is simple and a built-in lock holds the connection in place. Renogy says the tight fit helps keep water out. To pull the connectors apart, use Renogy solar spanners.

Real-World Applications

Three-panel arrays. Combine the output of three panels in parallel before the run to your charge controller.

Expanding an existing setup. Add panels to a parallel array without extra loose connectors.

Practical Comparison

Branch Cable Versus Individual Connector Pairs

A branch cable arrives with the junction already made, so you have fewer joints to assemble in the field. Loose connectors give you more freedom over cable lengths.

Buyer Guidance

Match the Cable Size

The connectors suit 14AWG to 10AWG solar wire. Renogy lists the rated current as 30A, so check that the total current of your three panels in parallel stays within your system's limits.

This May Be A Good Fit If

  • You are wiring 3 solar panels in parallel
  • Your panels use standard solar connectors
  • Your wire is 14AWG to 10AWG

Common Questions

How Many Panels Can It Connect?

Renogy says it connects 3 solar panels in parallel.

What Wire Size Does It Accept?

Renogy says it normally suits 14AWG to 10AWG solar wire.

Why Are the Connectors Hard to Pull Apart?

Renogy says the tight design helps prevent water leaking in. To remove them from solar panels, use Renogy solar spanners.
