Renogy Solar Panel Flat Roof Tilt Mount

The Renogy Solar Panel Flat Roof Tilt Mount Lets You Angle a Panel on Any Flat Surface With Adjustable Aluminum Brackets

The Renogy Solar Panel Flat Roof Tilt Mount holds a solar panel at an angle on a flat surface. It is made from 5052-H32 aluminum with stainless steel fasteners, and it supports on-grid and off-grid systems.

It is made for anyone who wants to tilt a panel on a rooftop or other flat surface instead of lying it flat. Renogy says the mount is suitable for most Renogy panels, and the tilt angle can be adjusted for better performance.

Renogy Solar Panel Flat Roof Tilt Mount Features

Adjustable Tilt Angle

Two extension brackets let you change the angle of the panel. Renogy says angle adjustability decreases as the panel gets larger, and its angles are based on a landscape panel installation.

Aluminum Brackets and Stainless Steel Fasteners

Renogy lists 5052-H32 aluminum construction, stainless steel fasteners, high-tensile strength, a corrosion-free build and a brushed aluminum finish. Renogy calls the aluminum alloy light weight and easy to transport.

Precision Hole Positioning

Renogy lists precision hole positioning and alignment and easy, rapid assembly. The L-bracket feet each have a hole for fastening the mount to the surface.

Landscape or Portrait Placement

Renogy's photo says panels can be placed horizontally or vertically, and shows a limit of up to 150 kg.

Real-World Applications

Flat rooftops. Angle panels toward the sun on a roof that is flat.

RVs, cabins and boats. Renogy's photos show tilted panels on a trailer, a cabin and a sailboat.

Practical Comparison

Tilt Mount Versus a Flat Mount

A flat mount keeps the panel level with the surface. A tilt mount lets you raise one side to point the panel at the sun.

Buyer Guidance

Check Your Panel Model

Renogy's compatibility chart lists the RNG-50D-SS, RNG-100D-R-BK, RNG-100D-SS and RNG-100MB as optimized, which means more tilt freedom. The RNG-160D-SS, RNG-175D, RSP200D, RNG-270P, RNG-300D and RNG-320D work with it. The RNG-10D-SS and RNG-30D-SS are listed as incompatible.

Installation Notes

Renogy says qualified electrical maintenance personnel should install, adjust and service this equipment, wearing protective gloves and safety glasses. Use more than one person and a strap or harness on a roof. Renogy's manual says the mount does not meet residential structural codes and mounting should follow a roof-mounting guide.
