The Renogy Solar Suitcase N-Type Portable Panel Brings High-Efficiency Solar to Camp in 100W or 300W

The Renogy Solar Suitcase N-Type Lightweight Portable Solar Panel uses N-type cells with 24.8% cell efficiency in a durable fiberglass suitcase that sets up in about a minute. Choose the 100W model at 8.86 lbs for day trips and small power stations, or the 300W model at 18.74 lbs for faster charging of larger power stations and RV batteries.

Both versions are IP67 rated, stand on robust kickstands and work with most portable power stations and solar charge controllers. They are lighter and smaller than Renogy's earlier suitcases, making them easy to carry, pack and store.

Renogy Solar Suitcase N-Type Features

N-Type Cells With 24.8% Cell Efficiency

High-efficiency N-type cells capture more energy from the same area, so the suitcase charges batteries and power stations faster.

Light, Compact Fiberglass Build

Fiberglass construction keeps weight down while adding strength. The 300W folds to 23.1 x 29.3 x 3.1 inches and the 100W to 20.6 x 24.6 x 1.6 inches.

IP67 Protection

The panel is sealed against dust and water for reliable use in rain, sand and humid conditions.

One-Minute Setup

Unfold, set the kickstands and connect. The suitcase works with most portable power stations and charge controllers.

Long Performance Warranty

Renogy warrants 90% output at 5 years and 80% at 12 years, plus a 3-year materials and workmanship warranty.

Real-World Applications

Camping and overlanding. Recharge a power station for lights, a fridge and devices at camp.

RV and van travel. Charge house batteries through a controller while the rig sits in the shade.

Emergency backup. Keep a home backup power station charged through extended outages.

Mobile work. Run laptops, tools and chargers at remote job sites.

How It Compares to Common Alternatives

100W versus 300W. The 100W model is under 9 lbs and ideal for small power stations and day use. The 300W model delivers three times the power for larger power stations and battery banks.

Versus fabric foldable panels. Fabric panels are lighter and pack smaller, while the fiberglass suitcase is stiffer and better protected.

Versus rigid roof panels. A portable suitcase can follow the sun and charge while your vehicle stays in the shade.

Is This Panel the Right Fit

  • Power station input. The 300W panel has a 30.03V open circuit voltage and 12.6A short circuit current. The 100W has 21.6V and 5.83A. Confirm your power station accepts these values.
  • Batteries. When charging a battery directly, use a charge controller. An MPPT controller gets the most from the 300W model.
  • Weather. The panel is IP67 rated, but store it dry and folded when not in use.

This may be a good fit if

  • You want efficient portable solar in a sturdy case
  • You charge a power station while camping or during outages
  • You want a panel that sets up in a minute
  • You need to choose between a light 100W and a powerful 300W

Common Questions

What Else Do I Need for a Battery System?

A charge controller, a deep-cycle battery, adapter cables from the panel to the controller and battery cables from the controller to the battery.

Why Is It Producing Less Than Rated?

Indirect sun, heat, clouds, angle and dirt reduce output. Aim the panel directly at the sun and keep it clean.

How Should I Connect Multiple Panels?

Series wiring adds voltage and parallel wiring adds current. Stay within your power station's or controller's input limits.

Will It Work With My Power Station?

It works with most portable power stations. Check that your power station's solar input voltage and current ratings cover the panel's open circuit voltage and short circuit current.
