The Rich Solar 100 Watt Solar Kit is a starter 12V solar charging kit built around one MEGA 100 monocrystalline panel and a 20A MPPT charge controller. MEGA 100 Monocrystalline Panel

The MEGA 100 is a 12V panel rated at 100W, with a guaranteed positive power output of 0 to +5W. Strong tempered glass, an aluminum frame and an IP67 rating help it handle tough climates, and it performs well in low light on cloudy days, mornings and evenings.

20A MPPT Charge Controller

The RS-MPPT20 controller reaches up to 99% tracking efficiency and 98% peak conversion efficiency. It automatically detects 12V or 24V systems and charges sealed, gel, flooded and lithium deep cycle batteries. It can also charge over-discharged lithium batteries.

Clear Display and Optional Bluetooth

An LCD screen and multiple LED indicators show system information, customizable parameters and error codes. An RS232 port connects to the BT-1 Bluetooth module, sold separately, for monitoring from your phone.

Full Electronic Protection

The controller protects against reverse polarity, overcharging, over-discharging, overload, short circuits and reverse current. Its die-cast aluminum case dissipates heat efficiently, and the included 10A inline fuse adds circuit protection.

Load Control Built In

The controller has a 20A load output with diverse load control options. You can power small DC loads, such as lights, directly from the controller.

Ready to Mount

The MEGA 100 has pre-drilled holes that fit Z brackets, tilt mounts, pole mounts and ground mounts. A set of four Z brackets comes in the kit for a standard flat-roof install.

Yes. The 20A MPPT controller is compatible with lithium batteries as well as sealed, gel and flooded types.

Can I Add Another Panel Later?

Yes, as long as the array stays within the controller's 100VDC maximum solar input voltage and 25A maximum PV short-circuit current. Check the controller manual before adding panels.

Does the Controller Have Bluetooth?

Not built in. The RS232 port works with Rich Solar's BT-1 Bluetooth module, which is sold separately.
