The SunGold Power 100 Amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller (SGC4825100A) is built for larger solar arrays. It delivers up to 100 amps of charging current, accepts PV open circuit voltages up to 250V, and supports up to 5280 watts of solar on a 48V battery bank, with over 99 percent MPPT tracking efficiency.
It automatically detects 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V battery systems and supports lead acid, gel, flooded, lithium, and user-defined profiles. Built-in Bluetooth provides app monitoring, and an isolated RS485 port supports communication and parallel operation. SunGold includes this controller in several of its larger off-grid kits.
Charging current is settable from 0 to 100A, with a maximum output power of 5280W. Maximum PV input current is 70A.
SunGold lists recommended PV power of 1320W on 12V, 2640W on 24V, 3960W on 36V, and 5280W on 48V systems.
A 250V maximum open circuit voltage and an MPPT range from battery voltage plus 2V up to 180V allow long series strings and smaller PV wiring.
