The SunGold Power 11.4KW 48V Split Phase Hybrid Solar Inverter (model SGN-11K15PRO) is a hybrid inverter built for whole-home backup. It delivers 11.4kW of continuous 120/240V output, accepts up to 15kW of solar on three MPPT inputs, and passes up to 200A of grid current through to your main panel. It works in off-grid, grid-tied and hybrid solar systems.
It runs on a 48V lithium-ion or lead-acid battery and charges or discharges at up to 10kW. An IP65 enclosure allows indoor or outdoor mounting, and an LCD touchscreen, Bluetooth and an app handle setup. It is aimed at homeowners who want the whole house, not just a critical loads panel, on backup.
Nominal output is 11.4kW and 47.5A at 120/240V split phase or 120/208V 2/3 phase. The peak output apparent power is 150% for 10 seconds, transfer time is under 10ms, and voltage distortion stays below 3% at full resistive load.
The grid connects to the inverter's GRID terminal, and its LOAD output feeds your main panel, with a 200A maximum grid pass-through current. When the grid is up, the inverter passes utility power to the house. When it fails, the battery and solar take over.
Three MPPT trackers accept up to 15,000W of PV at up to 600V, with a 90V start-up voltage and a 70-540V operating range. Input currents are 30A, 22A and 22A. SunGold rates CEC efficiency at 96.50%.
The 48V battery port works from 40 to 64V with up to 210A and 10,000W of charge or discharge power. Lithium-ion batteries connect through the CAN BMS port, and lead-acid batteries are also supported.
SunGold lists five working modes, including self-consumption, feed-in priority and back-up mode. A forced charge and discharge function can be set for three time periods a day and overrides the working mode during those periods.
The GEN port accepts split phase (120/240V) or 2/3 phase (120/208V) generators and can also be used for a smart load. AC coupling lets you connect an existing grid-tie inverter.
An LCD touchscreen and LED indicators show system status, and Bluetooth and an app support setup and monitoring. Up to nine units can be paralleled, but touchscreen and non-touchscreen models cannot be paralleled together.
Whole-home backup. Feed the main panel through the LOAD output so the house stays powered during outages.
Grid-tied homes adding storage. Use solar first, store the surplus and reduce power drawn from the utility.
Time-of-use rate plans. Schedule forced charging and discharging in up to three time periods.

Versus the 7.6KW SGN7.6K1HB-48. Both share a 48V battery, three 600V MPPT inputs and split phase or 2/3 phase output. This model raises output to 11.4kW and 47.5A, against 7.6kW and 31.7A, and battery discharge to 210A, against 180A.
Versus SunGold's high voltage 11.4KW hybrid. SunGold's other 11.4KW hybrid works with high-voltage lithium batteries. This model runs on a 48V battery and adds 200A grid pass-through for whole-home backup.
Versus a grid-tie inverter alone. A grid-tie inverter without a battery cannot power the home during an outage. This hybrid adds battery storage, backup and generator input.
