The SunGold Power 200 Watt Monocrystalline Solar Panel Is a Compact, 24V-Class Panel for Cabins, RVs, Boats, and Small Off-Grid Systems

The SunGold Power 200 Watt Monocrystalline Solar Panel (SG200WM) provides quiet, clean solar power in a 55.1 x 27.6 inch panel that weighs just 23.32 pounds. With a maximum power voltage of 36.16V, it is a 24V-class panel, well suited to small battery-based systems where larger residential modules would be too big or too heavy.

SunGold builds it with efficient monocrystalline silicon cells, an IP67-rated junction box suitable for marine use, and a corrosion-resistant aluminum frame for long outdoor service. Each panel comes with 47 inch output cables. Choose a 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 panel pack using the options on this page.

SunGold Power 200 Watt Monocrystalline Solar Panel Features

200 Watts From a Compact Panel

At standard test conditions the panel produces 200 watts at 36.16V and 5.53A, with an open circuit voltage of 43.39V and short circuit current of 5.86A. Production tolerance is ±3%.

Lightweight and Easy to Handle

At 23.32 pounds and about 4.6 by 2.3 feet, one person can carry and position a panel, which makes installation on RV roofs, sheds, and small racks much easier than with full-size residential modules.

IP67 Junction Box for Marine and Outdoor Use

The IP67-rated junction box protects the connections from dust and water, and SunGold notes the panel is suitable for marine applications. The aluminum frame resists corrosion.

Long Output Cables

Each panel includes 47.24 inch (1200mm) output cables with connectors, giving you more flexibility when wiring panels in series or parallel.

Typical Daily Production

SunGold estimates a 200 watt panel produces about 800 to 1200 watt-hours per day depending on peak sun hours, or about 1000Wh with 5 peak sun hours.

1000V Maximum System Voltage and 2400Pa Wind Load

The panel is rated for a 1000V maximum system voltage and 2400Pa of wind load.

Real-World Applications

RVs, campers, and vans. Keep house batteries charged while traveling or boondocking.

Boats. The IP67 junction box makes it suitable for marine installations.

Cabins and sheds. Power lights, small appliances, and electronics with a modest battery bank.

Small solar kits. SunGold uses these panels in its smaller off-grid kits, such as 5kW systems with six 200W panels.

How It Compares to Common Alternatives

Versus large residential panels. 370W to 590W panels produce more power per module but weigh 40 to 70 pounds and need more mounting space. The 200W panel is easier to handle and fits smaller spaces.

Versus 100W panels. A 200W panel halves the number of modules and connections for the same output.

Versus flexible panels. Rigid framed panels like this one typically last longer and run cooler than flexible panels.

Is This Solar Panel the Right Fit

  • System voltage. With a 36.16V Vmp, it is a 24V-class panel. Use an MPPT controller for 12V batteries.
  • Space. Each panel measures 55.1 x 27.6 x 1.2 inches.
  • Weight. 23.32 pounds per panel.
  • Quantity. Packs of 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 panels.

This may be a good fit if

  • You need panels for an RV, van, boat, or cabin
  • You want lightweight panels that are easy to install
  • You are building a small battery-based system
  • You need an IP67 junction box for marine use
