This off-grid kit pairs two 12000W 48V split-phase all-in-one inverters with 31 x 590W bifacial N-type solar panels and a large LiFePO4 battery bank. Choose 12 x CoreX 5 Pro server rack batteries for 61.44kWh (FR-24K60CP) or 4 x PowerMax 314 Outdoor batteries for 64.28kWh (FR-24K64PM).
It contains nearly everything you need to bring off-grid solar power and storage to large remote homes and off-grid residences. The two inverters run in parallel to power most 120V and 240V home appliances, and SunGold lists WiFi remote monitoring and auto generator start.
Each FR12K-B inverter is rated 12000W with a 24000W peak and a 6HP motor load capacity, at 120/240V split phase or 120V single phase. Two units in parallel give the kit its 24kW rating, and up to 6 FR12K-B units can run together for 72000W if you expand later.
Each inverter has 2 MPPT inputs rated 22A and 6600W each, with a 500Vdc maximum open-circuit voltage and 99.9% tracking efficiency. The 31 panels wire as four strings of 8, 8, 8 and 7, one per MPPT, each through its own 25A PV breaker.
The SGN-590-BDG1 panels have 22.8% module efficiency, and SunGold says the rear side can add up to 30% more energy. They are UL 61730 certified by ETL and CEC Listed, rated for 5400 Pa snow load, 2400 Pa wind load and a 40mm hailstone test, and carry a 30-year linear power warranty.
The FR-24K60CP option uses 12 CoreX 5 Pro batteries of 5.12kWh each, built with Tier-1 EVE lithium cells. SunGold rates them to keep 80% of capacity after 5000 cycles at 100% DOD, and each has an LCD, WiFi and Bluetooth monitoring and a 10-year warranty.
The FR-24K64PM option uses 4 PowerMax 314 Outdoor batteries of 16.07kWh each, with 15.42kWh usable per battery. They are IP65 rated for indoor or outdoor installation, rated for 8000 cycles at 80% DOD, certified to UL 1973 and tested to UL 9540A.
Each inverter charges at up to 200A from solar or 120A from a generator or the grid. Its independent generator port can also serve as a second load output. SunGold states the built-in PV rapid shutdown system complies with 2017 and 2020 NEC 690.12 when used with APsmart RSD units at the modules.

The CoreX 5 Pro option uses 12 server rack batteries of 94.8 lb each, rated IP20 for indoor installation, with 12 battery brackets included. The PowerMax option stores slightly more, 64.28kWh, in just 4 batteries of 271 lb each. They are IP65 rated for indoor or outdoor use, so there are fewer units to wire and the bank can sit outside.
A single 12000W inverter caps continuous output at 12kW. This kit doubles the inverter capacity, uses four MPPT inputs instead of two, and pairs them with a battery bank sized for a larger home.
The system layout joins both inverters to the battery bank through a 600A busbar that is not included, and the kit list names no busbars. Racking for the 31 panels is not included either. Plan these parts with your installer.
The FR12K-B inverters are IP20 rated for indoor use only, at 61.73 lbs and 28.48 x 17.64 x 5.91 inches each. Each 590W panel measures 89.69 x 44.65 inches, so the array needs a large roof or ground area. A qualified electrician should install the system.
FR-24K60CP has 12 CoreX 5 Pro server rack batteries (61.44kWh) with 12 battery brackets. FR-24K64PM has 4 PowerMax 314 Outdoor batteries (64.28kWh). The inverters, panels, PV cables, battery cables and breakers are the same.
