The SunGold Power 415 Watt Monocrystalline Black Solar Panel Gives Mid-Size Roofs 108 Half-Cut PERC Cells and Lower Heat Loss

The SunGold Power 415 Watt Monocrystalline Black Solar Panel (model SG415WM) is a half-cut mono PERC module rated at 415W, with 108 cells and a 21.3% module efficiency. It measures 67.80 x 44.65 x 1.38 inches, weighs 48.06 lbs and is UL 61730 and CEC listed.

It is built for off-grid, grid-tied and hybrid systems on household roofs, tiny houses, RVs, boats and commercial buildings. In SunGold's black panel line it sits between the 370W and 500W models in size and output. We sell it in packs of 2 to 20 identical panels, in steps of two.

108 Half-Cut PERC Cells

The module uses 108 mono half-cut cells (182 x 91mm) in a 6 x 18 layout. SunGold says the half-cell wiring raises shade tolerance and improves power output, so partial shade costs you less.

21.3% Efficiency From a Mid-Size Module

At standard test conditions the panel produces 415W at 31.11V and 13.34A, with a ±3% production tolerance. Its 21.3% efficiency means more output from the same roof area than many traditional panels.

Lower Heat Loss

The temperature coefficient of Pmax is -0.35%/°C, and the NMOT is 45°C ±2°C. A smaller coefficient means less power is lost as the panel heats up on summer days.

IP68 Connections Rated for Temporary Immersion

The junction box and connectors are IP68 rated. They are fully protected from dust and keep working after temporary immersion in water up to 1m deep.

Snow and Wind Load Ratings

The panel passed a 5400 Pa load test for heavy snow and a 2400 Pa test for wind pressure. It has a 3.2mm tempered glass front and an anodized aluminum alloy frame with drainage openings that reduce damage from freezing water.

Works in Every System Type

Use it in a grid-tied system to reduce power bills, in a hybrid system with battery storage or in a complete off-grid house. It is rated for a 1500V maximum system voltage.

12-Year Workmanship and 25-Year Output Warranty

SunGold backs the panel with a 12-year material and workmanship warranty. Output warranties run 5 years at 95%, 10 years at 90% and 25 years at 80%.

Common Questions

Is the 415W Panel Black-on-Black?

No. It is a black solar panel, but it doesn't have both a black frame and a black backsheet. If an all-black look matters, ask us about SunGold's black-on-black models.

How Well Is the Panel Sealed Against Water?

Very well. The IP68 junction box and connectors are fully protected from dust and work normally after temporary immersion in water up to 1m deep.

How Does It Handle Hot Weather?

It operates up to 185°F (85°C), and its -0.35%/°C Pmax temperature coefficient keeps heat losses modest.

What Fuse Rating Does Each String Need?

The maximum series fuse rating is 20A per panel. Size string fusing to that rating and your inverter or combiner instructions.
