The SunGold Power 440 Watt Monocrystalline Black N-Type Solar Panels Pallet Delivers 31 Panels and 13,640 Watts for Large Solar Arrays

The SunGold Power 440 Watt Monocrystalline Black N-Type Solar Panel (SGN-440-SW5) uses N-type monocrystalline cells, which SunGold says deliver 10 to 30 percent more power than conventional P-type modules over a 30 year lifespan. Each all-black panel is rated at 440 watts and carries UL61730 certification and a CEC listing.

It is designed for off-grid, on-grid, and hybrid solar systems, with an IP68 junction box and connectors and load ratings of 5400Pa for snow and 2400Pa for wind. SunGold backs it with a 12 year material and workmanship warranty and a 30 year linear power warranty. This listing is a full pallet of 31 panels.

SunGold Power 440 Watt Monocrystalline Black N-Type Solar Panels Features

N-Type Cell Technology

N-type cells avoid the light-induced degradation common in P-type cells, which supports SunGold's 30 year linear power warranty and higher long-term energy yield.

440 Watts With a ±3% Tolerance

At standard test conditions, each panel produces 440 watts at 33.48V and 13.15A, with an open circuit voltage of 39.03V and short circuit current of 13.73A.

Built for Snow, Wind, and Water

Load testing to 5400Pa for snow and 2400Pa for wind, plus an IP68 junction box and connectors rated for temporary immersion up to 1 meter, help the panels stand up to harsh weather.

1500V System Rating and 12 AWG Leads

A 1500V maximum system voltage gives flexibility for long series strings on high voltage MPPT inverters, and 12 AWG output cables (1 ft per cable) connect to standard solar extension cables.

Full Pallet Pricing and Shipping

Buying 31 panels on one pallet gives you 13,640 watts of nameplate capacity for a single large array, shipped together. Plan for freight delivery and equipment to unload it.

Real-World Applications

Off-grid homes and cabins. Build an array sized to your battery bank and all-in-one inverter, or cover a large ground mount with a single pallet.

Grid-tied and hybrid systems. Reduce power bills by pairing the panels with a hybrid inverter and battery storage.

Ground and pole mounts. Install in open areas where panels can be angled for the best production.

Farms, shops, and outbuildings. Power pumps, lighting, and equipment far from the grid.

How It Compares to Common Alternatives

Versus PERC panels. PERC panels are a proven, cost-effective technology. N-type cells generally offer lower degradation and a longer linear power warranty.

Versus higher wattage panels. Larger panels mean fewer modules and connections, but they are heavier and harder to handle on a roof. Choose the size that fits your mounting space and installation crew.

Versus small panel packs. Packs of 2 to 20 panels suit smaller systems. A 31-panel pallet is the efficient choice when you need a large array.

Is This Solar Panel the Right Fit

  • Inverter or controller. Check that your string voltage stays within your inverter or charge controller's MPPT range. Each panel's open circuit voltage is 39.03V.
  • Mounting space. Each panel measures 67.80 x 44.65 x 1.38 in and weighs 46.30 lb.
  • System voltage. The 1500V system rating supports long series strings on high voltage inverters.
  • Delivery. A full pallet ships by freight. Make sure the delivery site can receive and unload it.

This may be a good fit if

  • You want N-type cell performance
  • You are building a large off-grid, hybrid, or grid-tied array
  • You want UL61730-certified modules
  • You use a high voltage MPPT inverter or controller

Common Questions

Is It Waterproof?

Yes. SunGold confirms the panel is waterproof, with an IP68-rated junction box and connectors.

Should I Wire the Panels in Series or Parallel?

It depends on your inverter or charge controller's PV voltage range, your system voltage, and any shading. Check your inverter's MPPT range before arranging the array.

What Warranty Does SunGold Provide?

12 years material and workmanship; 30 year linear power warranty.

How Many Panels Are on the Pallet?

31 panels, for 13,640 watts total.
