SunGold Power 590 Watt Bifacial N-Type Solar Panels Deliver 22.8% Module Efficiency Across a Full Pallet of 31 Panels

This pallet holds 31 SunGold Power SGN-590-BDG1 panels, each rated 590W at standard test conditions. Every module is an N-type monocrystalline, bifacial dual glass panel with 144 cells, and the model is UL 61730 certified by ETL and CEC Listed.

Because it is bifacial, the panel also turns light that reaches its back glass into power. SunGold says the rear side can add up to 30% more energy, depending on how much reflected light reaches it. That makes this pallet a strong match for ground mounts, flat roofs and other open installs, and for installers who need a large number of matched, high-output modules in one delivery.

SunGold Power 590 Watt Bifacial N-Type Solar Panels Features

590W Output With 22.8% Module Efficiency

Each panel produces 590W at STC and 452W at NMOT, with a module efficiency of 22.8%. Higher efficiency means more power from the same roof or ground area.

Bifacial Gain From the Rear Side

The module has a bifaciality of 80±10%. When rear-side light reaches 13.5% of the front-side irradiance, SunGold rates the output at 654W per panel.

N-Type Cells With No LID

SunGold says N-type cells have no light-induced degradation (LID) by nature, and they perform well in low light. Over a 30-year lifespan, SunGold puts the extra generation at 10-30% compared with conventional P-type modules.

16 Busbars and Half-Cut Cells

The cells use 16 busbars, which SunGold says improves efficiency and resistance to microcracks. Half-cut cell technology reduces the effect of shading and shortens current paths. Every module also goes through a 100% triple EL test to cut the hidden crack rate.

Dual Glass Built for Snow and Wind

Both faces use 2.0mm glass, an anti-reflection coated front and a heat strengthened back, in an anodized aluminum alloy frame. The module is certified for 5400 Pa of front-side snow load and 2400 Pa of rear-side wind load, and it passed a 40mm hailstone test.

Low Temperature Coefficient

The power temperature coefficient is -0.29%/K, and the nominal module operating temperature is 43±2℃. SunGold designed the panel for lower operating current to reduce hot spot loss, which helps output hold up on hot days.

IP68 Junction Box and MC4 Leads

The IP68 junction box has 3 diodes. Each panel has 12 AWG (UL) output wire, 47.24 inches long including the MC4-compatible connector, so panels plug together in a series string.

Real-World Applications

Ground-mounted arrays. Raise the panels on ground brackets so light reflected from the ground reaches the back glass.

Flat roofs. Tilted racks on a flat roof leave space for light to reach the back of each panel.

Vertical surfaces and poles. SunGold lists vertical and pole mounting among the supported setups.

Snowy climates. SunGold says the dual-sided design keeps producing in snow, and the front is rated for a 5400 Pa snow load.

Large off-grid and hybrid systems. A full pallet of 31 matched modules gives a big home or business array one consistent panel type.

Practical Comparison

SunGold Power 590 Watt Bifacial Panels Versus PERC Panels

SunGold rates the bifaciality factor of its N-type panels at 80%, against 70% for PERC panels. It also says N-type modules generate 10-30% more power over a 30-year life than conventional P-type modules.

SunGold Power 590 Watt Bifacial Panels Versus Monofacial Panels

A monofacial panel collects light from the front only. This dual glass module also uses light that reaches its back, so the extra gain depends on how much reflected light your site provides.

SunGold Power 590 Watt Bifacial Panels Versus Buying Single Panels

A pallet gives you 31 identical SGN-590-BDG1 modules in one shipment, so every string shares the same electrical ratings.

Buyer Guidance

String Sizing

At STC, each panel has a 52.35V open-circuit voltage and a 13.90A short-circuit current. With rear-side gain at a 13.5% irradiance ratio, short-circuit current rises to 15.40A. Check your strings against your inverter or charge controller limits, the 1500V maximum system voltage and the 30A maximum fuse rating.

Freight and Handling

Each panel weighs 69.45 lbs and measures 89.69 x 44.65 x 1.38 inches. The packed pallet weighs 2193.6 lbs and measures 91.73 x 45.28 x 49.61 inches, so plan for freight delivery and equipment to unload it.

This May Be A Good Fit If

  • You are building a large ground-mount or flat-roof array
  • Your site gets reflected light behind the panels
  • Your inverter's string limits suit these modules' voltage and current
  • You need UL 61730 certified, CEC Listed panels
  • You can receive and unload a freight pallet

Common Questions

Are These Panels Waterproof?

Yes. SunGold confirms the panels are waterproof, and the junction box and connectors are IP68 rated against dirt, dust and water.

How Many Panels Are on the Pallet?

31 panels, each rated 590W. SunGold packs this model at 31 pieces per pallet.

What Warranty Comes With the Panels?

SunGold provides a 12-year material and workmanship warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty. The linear warranty allows 0.40% annual degradation and guarantees 87.4% of rated power at year 30.

Can They Be Mounted Vertically?

Yes. SunGold lists flat roofs, ground brackets, vertical surfaces and poles as mounting options. Each frame has preserved mounting holes.
