The SunGold Power 8kW 48VDC Off-Grid Solar Kit (SGR-8K10E) is a complete off-grid solar kit built around an 8000W split-phase all-in-one inverter (SPH8048P). It includes 8 x 450W bifacial N-type monocrystalline solar panels for 3,600W of solar, 2 x 51.2V 100Ah LiFePO4 server rack batteries (SG48100P) for 10.24kWh of storage, and the breakers, cables, and mounting hardware SunGold lists for the system.
This kit builds on SunGold's 8kW split-phase inverter, which can accept up to 11,000W of solar, so the 3,600W bifacial array has plenty of room to grow. Two 5.12kWh server rack batteries provide 10.24kWh of storage.
The SPH8048P is an 8000W all-in-one inverter with 120/240VAC split-phase pure sine wave output, 16,000W of peak power, and a 5 HP motor loading rating. Two MPPT trackers accept up to 11,000W of solar, and the inverter charges batteries at up to 180A from solar or 100A from the grid or a generator. It is certified to UL1741 and includes Wi-Fi monitoring.
Each SG48100P is a 51.2V, 100Ah (5.12kWh) lithium iron phosphate battery in a 3U server rack format. SunGold rates it for 7,000 or more cycles at 80% depth of discharge with a 15-year design life, and it communicates with the inverter over RS485 or CAN. It is certified to UL1973 and is rated IP20 for indoor installation. Two batteries combine for 10.24kWh of storage.
The 450W bifacial N-type panels (SGN-450-BDG5) use 96 N-type monocrystalline cells and can collect reflected light from the rear side when mounted with open space behind them. Each panel is UL61730 and CEC listed and carries a 12-year material and workmanship warranty with a 30-year linear power warranty. At four peak sun hours, the 8-panel array produces about 14.4kWh per day. Actual output depends on location, season, tilt, and shading.
The inverter has built-in MPPT solar charging, so the panels connect directly to the inverter without a separate charge controller. That keeps wiring simpler and reduces the number of components to mount.
SunGold includes DC and PV breakers, battery and inverter cables, 50-foot solar extension cables, Z-brackets for mounting the panels, and a busbar, all sized for this kit. SunGold also publishes a wiring diagram for the kit on its website. Having matched protection and cabling in the box saves sourcing time and helps keep the installation consistent.
Up to six SPH8048P inverters can be paralleled for more output. SunGold lists up to 32 SG48100P batteries in parallel, so storage can grow with your needs. Add panels within the inverter solar input limits as your energy use grows.
