The AIMS Power 75 Amp 12V/24V AC Converter/Battery Charger is a three-stage smart charger and power supply that automatically detects 12 volt and 24 volt battery banks. With up to 75 amps of output at 12 volts, it can charge a 100 amp-hour battery to 90% in under an hour, making it a strong fit for RVs, boats, campers and many other applications. A broad AC input range of 70 to 145 volts handles generators and shore power with unstable inputs, and it charges open lead acid, AGM, gel and LiFePO4 batteries. It is listed to UL 458 and CSA 22.2 No 107.1 and backed by a 2 year manufacturer's warranty.
At 12 volts, the converter delivers up to 75 amps, enough to charge a 100 amp-hour battery to 90% in under an hour. It can also act as a power supply of up to 75 amps at 12 volts DC.
The unit automatically detects whether it is connected to a 12 volt or 24 volt battery bank, simplifying setup across different systems.
Bulk, absorb and float stages with a variable charging voltage algorithm help maximize battery life. Four pre-programmed charging algorithms are selected with dip switches for the most common charging profiles.
Selectable battery types include open lead-acid, gel, AGM and LiFePO4, with an adjustable setting available.
A charge current control dial lets you safely charge smaller batteries by reducing the output current.
The converter operates at full performance from 96 to 145 volts AC and continues working from 70 to 96 volts AC at 50% of output. That makes it well suited to generators and campground shore power where voltage can sag.
Protections include over voltage, under voltage, short circuit, over temperature and reverse polarity. A battery temperature sensor port allows the charger to adjust charge voltage and current based on actual battery temperature. The sensor is sold separately.
The charger can deliver full rated current into deeply discharged batteries reading as low as 8 volts. Up to two units can be connected in parallel.

Battery banks for backup power. Keep lead acid or LiFePO4 banks topped up from AC power.
