The Jackery FridgeGuard is a 1,024Wh LiFePO4 battery backup built for one job first: keeping a refrigerator cold through a power outage. It plugs in between the wall outlet and your fridge, passes grid power through while the lights are on, and switches the fridge to battery power in about 10 milliseconds when they go out.
At 2.6 inches thick, it fits beside, behind or on top of a refrigerator, stands on the floor with its included vertical stands, or mounts on a wall with Jackery's optional bracket. There is no transfer switch, no electrician and nothing to drag out when a storm hits.
Plugged into a wall outlet with its output on, the FridgeGuard works as an uninterruptible power supply. When grid power drops, it moves your refrigerator to battery power in about 10 ms, whether you are home, asleep or away, and it switches back when the grid returns.
A refrigerator compressor can draw three to seven times its running watts for a moment when it starts. The FridgeGuard delivers 800W continuous from its 120V outlet and a 1,600W peak for about one second to cover that startup.
While the grid is up, the FridgeGuard runs your refrigerator on wall power and keeps its own battery full instead of cycling it every day.
With AC Output Delay turned on in the Jackery app, the FridgeGuard waits through a countdown after an outage begins and then resumes power. Jackery says the pause lets refrigerant pressure equalize before the compressor restarts, and in its lab testing a 4-hour delay increased total runtime by up to 15%. Keep the door closed during the delay.
The FridgeGuard stabilizes its output to help protect a connected refrigerator from voltage spikes, lightning surges and unstable grid power. Jackery also confirms low-voltage protection.
Sixteen LiFePO4 cells give the FridgeGuard 1,024Wh of capacity. Jackery rates them for 6,000 cycles to 70% capacity, which it projects at up to 16 years with one full cycle a day. It passed UN38.3 transport testing and runs under 40 dB in Jackery's lab testing.
Choose the FridgeGuard + Battery Pack option above, or add a Jackery FridgeGuard Battery Pack later, to double the stored energy to 2,048Wh for longer outages or a hard-working refrigerator. The pack connects with its included cable and can sit beside, stack with or hang next to the FridgeGuard.
Connect over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to see battery level, input and output power and estimated runtime in the Jackery app. TOU mode charges from the grid during off-peak hours and runs your refrigerator from the battery during peak hours, while holding a backup reserve (60% by default) for outages. Savings depend on your utility's rates.
The FridgeGuard recharges from a standard 120V outlet at up to about 800W. Add the Jackery DC Input Module (sold separately) for up to 500W from Jackery solar panels through two DC8020 inputs, or from a 12V vehicle outlet with a car charging cable (also sold separately).
The FridgeGuard is built for indoor use. Jackery does not recommend hot, humid spaces such as a garage that regularly tops 100°F.

| Size | 23.6 x 12.8 x 2.6 in | 12.4 x 7.9 x 9.2 in |
| Placement | Floor stands or wall mount beside the fridge | Carry from room to room |
Choose the FridgeGuard for a set-and-forget refrigerator backup that hides beside the fridge. Choose the Jackery HomePower 1000 Plus v2 if you want to carry power from room to room or run several devices at once.
A generator runs as long as it has fuel, but someone has to start it outdoors and keep it filled. The FridgeGuard takes over on its own in about 10 ms and runs quietly indoors with no fuel or exhaust.
If your refrigerator's startup power stays below 1,600W, the FridgeGuard can start it. Plug in and watch a few compressor starts before you count on it, and monitor the first outage if the refrigerator holds medication or other high-value items.
Runtime depends on your refrigerator, how often the door opens and how warm the room is. Jackery's example shows about 15 hours for a refrigerator on one FridgeGuard. The Battery Pack doubles that stored energy, and Delay Start stretches it further.

Yes. Connected to the wall with its output on, it moves your refrigerator to battery power in about 10 ms when the grid fails and back to grid power in about 10 ms when power returns. It is not a 0 ms UPS, so don't use it for servers, workstations or medical equipment.
The FridgeGuard has one 120V AC outlet rated at 800W. For UPS use, Jackery recommends connecting one device at a time, because several loads can trigger overload protection.
Beside, behind or on top of your refrigerator, on its vertical stands, or on a wood-stud or concrete wall with Jackery's mounting bracket (sold separately). Keep about 2 inches (5 cm) clear on both sides for airflow, and never mount it on drywall alone.
Sold separately: Jackery DC Input Module, wall mounting bracket and car charging cable.
