Is the EcoFlow Dual Fuel Smart Generator 4000 compatible with DELTA Pro Ultra?
No, as of December 2024, it is not compatible with the Dual Fuel Smart Generator 4000. There is rumor that EcoFlow may provide an adapter to allow this connection to work, but as of now, it does not.
I am building an off-grid solution with DELTA Pro Ultra and Smart Home Panel 2. I need to update the Smart Home Panel 2 firmware but I am receiving an error. How do I correct this?
A grid connection is necessary for the Smart Home Panel 2 to remain operational during the firmware upgrade process due to the temporary disconnection of the battery.
You can try simulating a grid power scenario using the DELTA Pro Ultra. Here’s how can to do it:
Prepare a DIY cable for the AC output socket (120V/240V, 30A) as it comes with 2 live wires. Strip the insulation from the cable and connect the two live wires from the cable to the main breaker in Smart Home Panel 2 (the other side needs plugged into this socket).
Unplug the DELTA Pro Ultra from Smart Home Panel 2, then turn on the Delta Pro Ultra and activate its AC output.
The Smart Home Panel 2 will recognize the AC output as grid power.
Start the firmware upgrade for Smart Home Panel 2.
After the firmware update is complete, turn off the AC output on the DELTA Pro Ultra and reconnect it to Smart Home Panel 2.
For safety reasons, please ensure that a qualified professional carries out this process.
Can I charge DELTA Pro Ultra with a portable generator while it also charges my home?
This is possible only if the generator has a total harmonic distortion (THD) of 8% or less and it has a pure sine inverter. Otherwise, it might be possible, but damage may occur to the DELTA Pro Ultra batteries.
Can an electrical appliance plug directly into EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra?
Yes. EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra (Inverter + Battery) works as a standalone unit powering electrical appliances of up to 7200W. There are 11 outlets on the inverter, including NEMA 5-20, TT30, L14-30 supporting 30A, USB-C, and USB-A.

So far, it's been working flawlessly with my EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus
It doesn't seem to work well with my EcoFlow River 2 Pro; for some reason, I had to restart the Charger. Every time I tried to charge my River 2 Pro, eventually it wouldn't charge. There is a good possibility I did something wrong in the settings. I didn't buy it to Charger for the River 2 Pro anyway, so no big deal to me. So far, after two days, the EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus hasn't had any issues.

Review of EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra X Whole-Home Backup
I purchased the Delta Pro Ultra X with two batteries at the end of 2025 from Outbound Power to get the best price. All three components arrived intact in three separate heavy duty boxes with ample custom molded padding to protect the units from shipping mishaps. I stacked the 3 units on the included caster tray in a new tiny home, and used the unit after a firmware update to my satisfaction. After using the unit for a short while, I charged the unit with a Honda EU3000i gas generator. A week later I installed two solar arrays, totaling 4400 watts with 2 sets of (5) 440 watt panels. I live in Southern California, so this allowed me to be fully charged in an hour or two of full morning sun. The unit has been powering the tiny home which came with a 50A shore power connection. I ran a circuit from the wall nearest the EcoFlow under the tiny home and connected to power panel via the shore power 50A outlet, by removing the outlet and splicing in the new circuit. The unit will run the tiny home no problem and has been on since the end of 2025. I may consider two more batteries after running all my consumer calcs to be 100% off grid, all electric, while satisfying San Diego County's 4 day battery reserve capacity for permitted off grid application such as mine. I'm very happy with this unit. I run Starlink, the refrigerator, an on demand propane water heater (at this time) and a minisplit, plus an inductive cook top, oven, washer/dryer, lights, etc without any issues. The simplicity of installation is peace of mind, and being plugged into the sun feels good every day. Outbound power has reached out and offered to assist if the need should present itself. So far so good!

We have a son with severe autism. If he is awake, he is on his computer and tablet. But if the power goes out, big trouble as he gets extremely upset. This power supply will help keep him entertained for a few hours, hopefully long enough for the power to come back.

The Jackery 5000 can run my smaller 240V welder (with adapter for the plug). As a test, I plugged in 2 vacuum cleaners, a steamer, and a clothes iron. It ran all four without issue. Plenty of power in a compact package. It might be a bit heavy if you need to pick it up or move it up stairs, but is rolls nicely on its wheels. Overall, seems like a solid unit.
